This all-day event in Merriam, KS, includes everything from a pancake breakfast and a 5K to live music and a Kid Zone at the picturesque Antioch Park. No First Friday is the same thanks to an eclectic mix of art galleries, boutiques, food trucks and more. This free, late-night event offers something for everyone in one of Downtown’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

New Orleans and its surrounding areas will be buzzing with activities, especially with Essence Fest kicking off the busy weekend. People will also have plenty of places to enjoy dazzling fireworks at several patriotic events all weekend. These Michigan fireworks displays are free to watch each Saturday from late May through mid-August. Watching races at a local speedway can be an exhilarating experience, but a speedway is also a great spot to watch fireworks. So, head northeast of Grand Rapids to watch some great racing and a booming show. Admission is required to watch the races, but the fireworks are part of the festivities.
